La Veuve Moustachue - Kishino Yuichi is an original singer gifted with a delicate voice and a unique sense of stage theatrics. Beneath the black veil, he transforms into the moustached widow, enjoying her holidays in a realm of cabaret chansons, easy-retro orchestrations and highly expressive choreographic elements. In the company of pianist Gary Ashiya & video artist ALi, the widow lands in an interactive stage set of movies, opening a dialogue with them. Kishino is an overactive character of the Tokyo music scene, DJ, runs the Out One Disc label and works as a university professor at the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music specialised in sound design of cinema.
Jon is a dog who sings and plays the harmonium (also known as a reed organ or pump organ). In 1994, she released her debut cassette tape GAAAAAA-JON sings. SMOKE, her second album, was released in 1996 on John Zorn's Tzadik Records. Jon currently lives in Tokyo and tours across Japan. Aside from her musical indevers, she is also known as a Tarot fortune teller and Zenith™healer.
Kaisou Shimai/Seaweed Sisters are the Japanese girls Wakame, Kombu, and Mekabu. Wakame and Kombu play saxophone, and Mekabu plays keyboard and composes all thev music. They cover modern music, film music, Matsuribayashi (Japanese tradition festival music ), and retro music of the showa era.
