Der Elektronikkünstler Phillip Schulze aus Düsseldorf programmiert seit rund 15 Jahren ein virtuelles Instrument namens Pumpe, das reaktiv in Echtzeit konkrete Musik erzeugt. Nach einem krachigen Noise Soloalbum (Cause Unfold Proceed, 2010) hat er vor kurzem auf Apparent Extent ein randvolles Doppelalbum mit elektroakustischen Duo-Improvisationen vorgelegt (Ambassador Duos, 2015). Schulze und sein Instrument treffen hier auf seinen Freund und Lehrer Anthony Braxton, auf die Düsseldorfer Kollegen Christian Jendreiko, Detlef Weinrich (Toulouse Low Trax) und den amerikanischen Saxophonisten Andrew Raffo Dewar aus Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Phillip Schulze freut sich auf einen entspannten Abend im A-Musik Laden und darauf seine Festplatten zu durchzuforsten.

Max Eilbacher

"The music of Max Eilbacher draws upon the European traditions of electroacoustic and musique concréte composition, the intuitive American free noise underground, and the abstract edges of processing-intensive computer music. Recent records have been released by Spectrum Spools, Fogged Records, Anomia, NNA Tapes, and a series of self released cassettes. He has toured extensively through North America and Europe with collaborations and solo projects."

Die Reihe

"Die Reihe is the most recent project of Jack Callahan, a composer and sound engineer based in New York City. Recent releases on Ascetic House, Salon & his own Bánh Mì Verlag."

From january 2016 on there will be a monthly a-Musik radioshow on dublab.de, live from the Kleiner Griechenmarkt in Köln. Every third thursday from 8.00 p.m. till 9.00 p.m. we'll present our top ten records of the month. Regularly there will be additional specials, features, dj mixes and live recordings, in the second hour, from 9.00 p.m. till 10.00 p.m. (and maybe longer).

We will keep you updated about these specials. On thursday, january 21st we'll start with our regular program, presenting our first top ten recommendations in 2016. Thank you Joscha Creutzfeldt for the collaboration, Andi Thissen for the logo and Felix Kubin for the jingle.

Joscha Creutzfeldt is, amongst other things, the founder and creative director of the newly founded dublab satellite in Germany. He loves listening to music on vinyl and sharing the music he likes with interested and likeminded people. He dislikes thinking in music genres but realizies they sometimes make things easier for some people. Expect three hours of music spanning from ambient and cosmic sounds to wave, oddball disco and african rhythms. Or whateverever.
